Climbing the stairs with two (rather than four) legs

Zoey’s back end may be weak and her rear legs atrophied due to her paralysis but her front end is built like a line backer so she can climb stairs like nobody’s business.  I caught her taking her time and enjoying the stretch today as she climbed up the stairs to the living room.  She uses her strong front legs to pull herself up one step at a time and then throws the weight of her rear end into the forward motion and can quickly maneuver her way up the stairs.  She can fly down them too!  To keep things fair, we ensure that all of the stairs in our house are carpeted so she can get around with ease and without injury.  Since day one I have called her my miracle kitty.  Indeed.
