Lucy (aka “The Goose”) making “muffins” on the favorite blanket of the feline members of our household. Lucy and Lily (below) are litter mates I bottle-raised from about one-week old. They, along with three other litter mates, were found under someone’s porch and surrendered to the shelter where I worked. They turned 6 years old on August 27th.
Lily (aka “Bigguns”) snuggling next to me on the couch. She’s a sweet lover-baby of a cat and was one of the runts of her litter. Now, she’s a big kitty weighing in at 16 lbs. We’re working on getting another couple of pounds off of her.
The baby of the bunch. Anya (aka “Botanya”) is the wild child husky-mix we rescued from a shelter in Texas. If you know anything about huskies, they can be fun to say the least. I will address lots of husky antics in the future – stay tuned. They are a breed like none other and, now that I have lived with and loved one, I love the breed! Anya is stunning to look at and her fun, happy-go-lucky playfulness makes us laugh at loud at least once a day. She will be 3 years old in December.
These three round out our household’s total of five fur-kids. Their interactions with each other and individual quirks keep us entertained and energized. I just can’t imagine being anything other than their mom.
